Orientation with new students

Last night I met the newest group of ISM students....wow....what a great group of focused and dedicated individuals! The meeting went twice as long as it was intended and worth every minute. I want to wish each of them luck and success as they begin classes this next quarter. Talking technology and the future gets me all jazzed up and excited to get started with them.....it may be a quarter or two until I work with them in the core classes and I will be looking forward to it. Great things are in the works.....

New Student Orientation and Graduation

Welcome to all the new students continuing their journey in education here at Rasmussen. I look forward to meeting all of the ISM students this afternoon. This will be a great experience for all of us as we learn from one another. Stay focused and work hard.

Congratulations to all the graduation students this evening! Your hard work and determination has moved you through your programs and will continue to guide you into new endeavours.

State Representative Visit

State Representative Charles Jefferson visited Rasmussen College at our Rockford campus this afternoon to encourage and support the diverse culture of our environment. It was good to hear his comments and positive message. He was interested in the fact so many of our students are people from the Rockford region. As he recognized, students are beginning on a path of success for themselves and the community in the Rasmussen programs.

Green Bay Visit

Today I am in Green Bay Wisconsin visiting the Rasmussen faculty and staff and all I can say is WOW! This is a very talented, friendly and focused group of people. Students have been very friendly and extremely complimentary of the team here. During this visit I have been part of some very exciting discussions and shared many ideas which will help make great progress for the ISM program and the students. Current and future Tech and Design students, be ready for some wonderful opportunities! There is so much more to do today here so I look forward to sharing more as we move forward. IT/Web Technology Club

Just attended my first IT/Web Technology Club meeting! What a great group of people!
Today I was introduced to the group and they shared the group charter and history of the group.
The club has a great desire to grow and expand its offering and this is where you come in....
if you have an idea or suggestion on topics and discussions don't be shy about it....let them know. New members are welcome and encouraged to participate. Perhaps you have an idea to improve communication and share ideas...pass this along to us. If you would like to know more or share ideas please feel free to contact Pete at peter.dumelle@rasmussen.edu or myself at pj.way@rasmussen.edu. I think the group is going to continue to develop and grow and this is a great time to get involved. A traditional strucutre for the group will involve a Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer; is there a position you would like to express interest and support?

Meetings are currently scheduled for Tuesdays at 4pm in room 404 every two weeks, so please keep an eye out for updates. Come on in and join us.

Greetings and welcome to the new blog focused on Rasmussen College and the School of Technology and Design for the Information Systems Management (ISM) degree program.
